Even aside from the Luxembourg Gardens, it is nice to just stroll around the 6th Arrondissement. Mr. Selfish and I enjoyed walking on the bridges and admiring the different views – particularly that of the Institut de France. It houses six different academies and was opened in 1795.
Moreover, there is lots of delicious food in the 6th. We went to Les Racines, which is a little mom and pop restaurant. We enjoyed the duck confit (again!) and chicken in a delicious wine cream sauce. We finished with creme brulee as our dessert.
Finally, we went to Le Comptoir Relais and enjoyed foie gras, a croque monsieur, and escargots. Mmmmmm!
Don’t forget to check out my recommendations for the other arrondissements in Paris here.
